Living in Dudley and Investing in Dudley

The capital of the Black Country has a proposed £82million investment, leaving it a great place to settle or invest.  

Capital of the Black Country, Dudley was at the heart of the industrial revolution;   being made up of four main towns; Dudley borough, Brierley Hill, Halesowen, Stourbridge and Kingswinford.

With an £82million proposed investment into Dudley Town Centre, which stands to create 500 new jobs, including new shops, a cinema, bars and restaurants, a gym, and accommodation for students.

Property– According to Zoopla, the average price for property in Dudley rose by 0.69% in the last three months, standing at £173,948 in April 2019. Hospitals – Russell’s Hall Hospital, which holds 687 beds, provides urgent care, medical care, surgery, children and young people services, maternity services, outpatients, diagnostics, end of life and critical care services.

Schools– With many primary and secondary school’s in Dudley, three of the top rated school are; Ellowes Hall Sports College, Bishop Milner Catholic College and George Salter Academy according to School Guide: www.schoolguide.co.uk.

Transport– There is a further proposed £18 million investment into Dudley bus station, Fisher Street, improving bus links to in and around Dudley, including linking Dudley to the Midland Metro tram service. The short travel time into Birmingham, or to get to the nearest motorway, gives Dudley Town excellent transport links.

University– Dudley College has recently launched its new University Centre Dudley (UCD) proposal, which builds on the links already in place with Dudley College and Aston University in Birmingham. The proposal is to locate UCD on land adjacent to the Tipton Road in very close proximity to Dudley Town Centre, Castle Gate and the Dudley Learning Quarter. UCD’s new buildings will be on land next to Warwick Manufacturing Group’s (WMG’s) new Very Light Rail Innovation Centre and will, in effect, create a new university technical park in Dudley.
